Happiness is an Inside Job: Creating a life of peace and joy by Saantis Davis

4.0

Happiness is a universal desire. Most people like to concentrate on achieving certain goals in the pursuit of ultimately being happy.  Happiness Is An Inside Job by Saantis Davis gives us a fresh look and new approach on accomplishing happiness by reevaluating what happiness and reclaiming it by realizing it is something that is always under our own power.

This book does a really good job of explaining to the reader that happiness is the ultimate goal, and that peace and joy protect our energy and maintains it at a high level.  It explains that we are like cars, with many passengers influencing the outcome in our agenda. We may not be able to control others, but we can control the ways we react to them. This book helps us with those reactions and addresses major emotions like pain and fear. Mental and physical health also plays a part in affecting our ways to be happy. We will also face challenges that threaten our happiness, such as people trying to test you and make you unhappy, and this book addresses those issues, too.

This book would be a great gift, especially for women, since the cover and section titles are so elegant and beautiful. I would recommend reading this book in the morning so you are reminded throughout your day, that you are in control and can be happy no matter what.
