Other things to notice: Book 1-4 is about Taylor and Leander. Book 5-8 is about Garett and Beth.
This is the first book that follows Beth and Gareth’s story as the main characters! The story starts right after where the last book ended. In the winter realm.
Is it possible to read the series from here without reading the previous ones?
Yes it is. (The author said so too.) The story follows another couple which where introduced in the previous books. Book 1-4 is about Taylor and Leander. Book 5-8 is about Garett and Beth.
Would I recommend it?
I highly recommend to read the whole series. Why you might ask?
As mentioned before the story begins right where the last book ended. And you won’t get the whole background story if you haven’t read them all.
About the book:
In this book we really get to know Beth and Gareth. Especially the story of Beth’s changeling slave life. The focus in this book is the whole changeling/lesser fae life and how they’re always hunted, sold and mistreated! In this book we follow Beth who is a former slave that lives in the winter realm who is later kidnapped and brought back to the summer realm to her former masters home. Back where she’s tortured or should I say feasted by dogs. In the meantime we have Gareth who is a high fae and the winter realm’s second of command. He’s drawn to her and his feral side have claimed Beth as his mate. This book shows the great length for what a High fae is willing to risk to get his mate back.
