Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Viking Group for giving me access to the ARC of this book. I'm going to start this off by saying this book is not going to be for everyone, and that's okay. In the beginning I wasn't sure if it was for me, but I stuck it out and I'm glad I did. You have to be willing to believe in the premise of this book to really get into it. If you don't think the scenario of this book is realistic, than this book probably isn't for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing and how it would switch POVs. I also enjoyed the plot twists, though I did predict some of them. Overall I think this book is a good psychological read. Again, read the summary first before getting into this book.
Graphic: Confinement, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Kidnapping, Death of parent, and Pregnancy
Moderate: Domestic abuse and Miscarriage
Minor: Incest and Fire/Fire injury
