Once again, T. Kingfisher delivers a spooky, haunting, yet deliciously witty folk horror story. Set a year or so after the first book, What Moves the Dead, Alex Easton returns to their families hunting lodge in the country with their friend Angus and Miss Potter. Upon arrival they find that the caretaker of the property has mysteriously died. When another falls ill with the same symptoms, Easton sets out to figure out if this is an illness of the lungs or something more sinister.

I wish this book was 500 pages long.
