It’s almost like the prompt for this book was “write something Courtney Keene will love.” Because readers, I did.
There is absolutely nothing better to me than the hot mess daughter from a small town hitting rock bottom and then figuring it all out. Caroline is almost thirty, has given up every bit of her life in NY to follow a guy who’s about to give up every bit of her. So naturally she moves back to Jersey to take care of her ailing father and you know, take his place on his rec men’s league baseball team. And just maaaaaybe spark a flame with and old high school crush?
I loved it so freaking much. It’s like Evvie Drake starts over but a bit lighter and in reverse? I don’t know if I loved it less I could probably talk about it more okay!
