The Christmas Keeper by Jenn McKinlay

Savy has been helping her best friend launch their new romance bookstore for the past several months since she lost her job, reputation, and life in New York. Now she’s on a mission to win it all back and she’s hoping the work she’s doing at the bookstore will be her ticket back into the publishing world. The only hiccup is that Quino very much does not want that to happen. He’s known since meeting Savy that she was the one he wants to settle down with but that won’t work if she moves back to New York. He’s going to have to do everything thing he can before she heads back at the end of the year. With Christmas coming on quick, that little extra holiday magic just might be his ticket to getting her to pay attention to him for once.

I really had a fun time with this especially with the whole bookstore setting. My only big issue with it was some choices the author made with the story telling. Especially when it came to Quino’s sister, a lot of the details surrounding her got repeated several times which was really annoying. It made it seem like the author didn’t trust the reader enough to remember some of those important details. Other than that, the banter was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing all the different holiday traditions Quino would do. Definitely a fun time but not something I’ll probably remember a month from now.
