Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

Something was always happening, which i was grateful for. There were some parts, especially in the last 100 pages, that I felt were a little cheesy and underwhelming. Like, i felt like after all the buildup throughout the first 800 pages, and the back and forth between everyone's POV, it all resolved too.... quickly? I can't believe I am saying that on a 980 page book, but still. I did however, LOVE getting the snippets of everyone else's POVs, especially near the end!

I also still have unanswered questions as well, but overall, a solid end to the series. Even though I have questions, there aren't many loose ends, and it does conclude well.

** LIGHT SPOILERS ** I definitely had my teary, angry, or bawling moments, but i don't feel it destroyed me as much as I was led to believe, which was honestly nice. Yes, there are sad parts, and yes, some important people die, but that goes with pretty much any fantasy series, so I have been expecting it, and trying to guess who it was going to be since like, the 4th book. lol

Overall, the series I did enjoy, and I think I'll definitely be reading again in the future. But contrary to popular opinion, this is not my favorite book in the series! I think it's in 3rd behind 2nd place Empire of Storms. Idk, something about Queen of Shadows though really stuck with me.
