Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

i love this book so much! what started out as a sex strike turned into a major fight between the boys and girls of hamilton high. there were moments where i wished the boys would just give up (much like Lissa, the main character's wish) but of course, they'd damaged their thoughts way too much by literally beating each other up senseless, to even think about what's slowly disappearing from them, right in front of their very own eyes.

there was also one point where lissa became selfish with this whole "this sex strike is for the benefit of us all girls who are dating these soccer and football boys". i got so upset when one of the girls' actually was sad that she had to stay away from her respectful and loving boyfriend, confide to the 'leader', but was told that her boyfriends' wooing was just another way to make the girls lose.

obviously there's gonna be romance in this, involving one of the soccer guys, Cash. somehow, I'd managed to imagine his face as Cameron Dallas when he was a teenager. im not even a fan of him lmao.

the ending was definitely satisfying. knowing both sides got what they wanted, the lissa knows what she did (towards the extreme ends) was wrong, friendships were rekindled and a toxic boyfriend was left.

ps. chloe, the best friend is such a badass. i love her so much!
definitely a classic fave of mine from kody <3
