Loved the story to start. Friendship, tech, women in tech, video games, unrequited love.
But overall the main characters didn’t pull me in.. I found Sadie to be miserable and kinda an asshole and Sam was very self loathing. The slow burn that led to nothing was also a let down. And probably a fault of mine not looking more into what this story was about, but I don’t think I’ve ever read something with so many harsh content warnings on it.

Graphic: Murder, Mass/school shootings, Death, Death of parent, Medical trauma, Car accident, Suicide, and Sexual violence
