I’ll say this. It’s definitely a quick steamy read. But the fast pace of the book and the trauma one of the two MC’s has to deal with, is not enough time to address the issues in question. Additionally, a lot of the things that are supposed to make it seem like they’re in love and everything, more often than not ignore what would generally be triggering for someone who had just gotten out of a physically and emotionally abusive relationship. It’s honestly kind of jarring, and a shame for what could be an interesting dynamic of trauma in response to fated mates.
