The way to read this is by audiobook, I cannot stress that enough. I know the only reason the audiobook is this good is because it has Disney money behind it but holy shit, this was the best audiobook I've ever listened to. It was like watching a Star Wars movie.
The characters were enjoyable and the story kept me engaged! The interludes were both really interesting in terms of the wider star wars universe (Cobb Vanth my beloved) but it also took us out of the main story sometimes. There was awkward dialogue and description, but nothing that had me unwilling to continue reading.
I'm definitely going to continue this series

It's not the book, it's me. I'm just constantly anxious I'm being a dumbass and forgetting if this character or this planet was already mentioned in a movie or TV show. Because other than that, it wasn't terrible.
I'm going to try reading star wars books with established characters that I know (Leia and Padme) and then go back to this one that has an all new cast.
