Breathless In Love by Bella Andre, Jennifer Skully

Before I write this review I want to share that as somebody with a disability I found this book really interesting. This is the first book in the series, the Mavericksare five self-made billionaires from a bad neighbourhood and the wrong side of town. They are not related by blood but they are to all intents and purposes brothers. These five men all have their own businesses but also have joint ventures as well. In the first book of the series we meet well, until he was 16 we'll had a troubled life, his father would make him burgle from houses. When his father was sent to prison he moved in with Susan and Bob Spencer Daniels parents. At 16 he decided to leave the gang he was in and change his life for the better. He now owns a very successful business where he imports the best products and sells them at high prices. He knows how to make a product unique so customers will pay high prices he loves fast cars and has a huge collection which is where the story begins. Jeremy Newman an 18-year-old boy who was hit by a car at age 7 leaving him with brain-damaged and the mental age of a seven year old child rights to well asking to see his collection. He agrees but does not know about Jeremy's accident before meeting him. When he arrives he sees that Jeremy is waiting with his sister harper who is his carer since their parents died. Of them. They are attracted to each other from the moment they meet, well also loves Jeremy straight away and wants to help him test his capabilities and become more independent. Harper however is very overprotective so over protects Jeremih to keep him safe because she is scared that one day he will not need her. This story is about both of their journeys to finally learn to love and get over their pasts. The only reason this story only got a four star and not tire was because I did find it frustrating how overprotective harper was to Jeremy. As somebody with a disability I like my own independence. However I did love the story and the characters and although it was predictable how it would end it did not take the enjoyment away and I could not put it down. I will look forward to reading the rest of the series when I can get it.
