I finally finished this triology. I was planning on reading the 2 prequels but I am finished with the maze runner.
I don’t know what to say about this one. I was not involved with the story or the characters. They seemed stuck, with no further development. The plot was kind of going on a loop to me. The writing was too young for me. I did not care anymore for the main and side characters. I much prefered the second book. It was more interesting, a lot of things were happening. I nearly DNFed it 75% of the way through. I am just glad that it’s over.
This trilogy is absolutely not my favourite in the dystopian genre, I would recommend others like the hunger games or the divergent trilogy, that are much more interesting than this one.
