the main heroine is nice, the plot is kinda working out, but transphobia and countless mentions of the mother being a man isn't. i really hope it's just the russian translation being wrong... because generally this book has a potential and the trans heroine is cool, but the slurs and calling the trans heroine a man as a joke (and as a fact that nobody has a right to forget) every two pages make it hell.
