Christmas Cake Murder by Joanne Fluke

4.0

A really enjoyable, holiday filled story.  There was only a tiny bit of mystery near the end of the book, but it was okay for this book.  I loved how after such a long series, we are getting a story from the past when Hannah was just figuring out her cookie shop idea.  There was a lot going on after her father's death and I loved seeing this and how it set up the rest of the series.  Essie's journals were an interested plot device and the twist at the end was a bit predictable, but still lovely to read.  Now I am refreshed and ready to jump back into Hannah's present.
