There isn’t much of a plot to speak of.
It’s a long series of scenes in which Amory Blaine tries to win over women with his “charm”.
The book is very dated in its language (I mean it WAS written in the late 1910’s…) and very difficult to follow by today’s standards. Even taking it slow I had trouble figuring out what Fitzgerald was going on about. A bit over-descriptive in some areas which lost me many times.
Best thing I can say about this novel, is it’s interesting to see where some ideas for The Great Gatsby came about.
