Title: The Red Book
Author / Illustrator: Barbara Lehman

Age Appropriateness: I think this book has potential to reach a vast range of readers. It is entertaining for the young readers, but there are ways to make more out of the story as the readers get older.
Summary:
This wordless-book tells the story of two strangers meeting through a red story book. The only way to understand the characters is through the art, specifically through their facial expressions. At the end of the story, the two characters find their way to each other.
Review:
I definitely think a teacher would need to go through this book with their younger students because it can be unclear.
I think a theme for older students to get would be to allow your imagination to take you places.
As kids get older, it is so easy for them to forget that imagination is good and to allow themselves to remember the magic books bring. So, reading this simple book about imagination taking a person far can remind students of the joy it brings.
