As I reached the end of the audio-book it got me emotional as I have been reading and been in the middle earth from June 2024 starting with The Silmarillion. Understanding the world helped me understand each book and characters of the world overall. Middle Earth and its beautiful creation genuinely puts it in my favorite worlds to know about and also be amazed at the beauty of its built.
Frodo's too passive approach does grate my nerves but for this world full of war and conflicts he is someone required like Thorfinn's growth in Vinland Saga. Samwise Gamgee is a friend, I wish I had for life as he carries the story and Frodo at clutch moments. Merry and Pipin are the badasses required for the story and the last battle at Shire is something new for me after watching the movies.
Aragorn and all other characters were perfectly written and completed their journey perfectly.
