Saving 6 (Boys of Tommen Book 3)
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“I never knew devastation until he walked into my world and gave me a glimpse into his. I never knew heart break until he decimated my heart by decimating his body. I never knew hurt until he walked away from me. I never knew. I never…”

“I’ll be seeing ya, Molloy.”

---------------------------------------

This is the third book in the Boys of Tommen series and the first in Joey/Aoife's duology. After finishing Tommen books 1 & 2, I knew that Joey's and Aoife's story was going to be intense and emotionally involved. Still, I was not prepared. This story had my heart breaking from the beginning. These characters were dealing with so much, some of which we knew from the first books and some we didn't. The emotions this book prevoked... I have no words. These books are 3 for 3 on making me tear up, and I am not a crier. I am literally staring at a wall trying to still process everything.

After reading Binding/Keeping 13 I was really looking forward to getting a closer look at these characters and their story. Joey, man, that kid is so fiercely loyal to his siblings. He is such a caretaker, a provider, and almost a father figure to them. At times, he is so incredibly strong, pulling himself up by the bootstraps to take care of "everything." No matter what, he is always there for his family when they need him. Yet, he still battles weakness at every turn. My feelings are so complex when it comes to Aoife. I really struggled with her character in the beginning of this book. I feel like she was different than how I imagined she would be, and I did not always agree with her actions and how she dealt with certain situations. However, by the end I was on board wholeheartedly with these two. What they shared was more raw than Joey and Shannon's relationship, but not lacking in love or a true connection. I admire the relationship that grew between these two, and I honestly have hope for their future.

By the end of the book we experienced every hard emotion there is: so much strife, sadness, despair, loneliness, dejectedness, and hopelessness. But in true Chloe Walsh fashion, she gave us hope within the darkness, feelings of love, hope, and happiness sprinkled throughout.

This series is infinity stars. The emotions Chloe Walsh can make you feel and how connected you become to her characters are perfection. Be prepared to pick up Redeeming 6 right away.

***Please note there is mature content and triggers in this book, and overall this is an extremely emotionally heavy book.
