This book was mediocre at best, disappointing if I‘m being completely honest. Both of the main characters need therapy imo. I mean, first Macy gets engaged to a man she‘s known for a few months. Then she moves in with Elliot who she hasn’t see in eleven years (and who could basically be a whole other person than he was at eighteen which is the last time she ever talked to him)?! Make it make some sense. The drama was too much, the relationship seemed unrealistic and omg they both made one stupid decision after the other even though I must say Macy‘s decisions seemed even stupider than Elliot‘s. I just couldn’t bring myself to care about them and to be quite frank, they deserve each other.

I have heard many good things about Christina Lauren‘s books and I really hope this one is an exception. The only positive thing that lead to me not rating this with one star was their thing about „favourite word“.
