Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama

4.0

I was given this book shortly after reading the Audacity of Hope, 9 long years ago. And in 9 years it's remained pretty much untouched. Not through a lack of desire to read, because as American Presidents go Obama is the greatest and most interesting in my lifetime. Its just I never found the right time to start it and those times that I did pick it up I just couldn't get into it and something else always got in the way.
Now it's done though and I enjoyed it a lot.
Obama is a good writer and he is easy to read. What he has to say about the nature of mixed race identity is interesting. Having said this it does drag a little at times. Definately worth 4* though.
