The House of Ashes by Stuart Neville

5.0

I received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway. From the very beginning, this book grabbed hold and didn't let go. Due to the emotional/painful content, I did have to take breaks periodically just to catch my breath, but it was compelling and absolutely worth it. The dual timelines were very well done and combined the past and present together in a way that felt seamless. This is my first book by this author, but it won't be my last.
