Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan

don’t really know what drew me to read this story. was reading it on my ipad and had no idea it was a short story until i reached the end. so i thought it was a really abrupt ending but overall, after learning it was based on true historical events, i thought it was really touching. really love the story telling of this, thought the author made the pretty ordinary parts of the story very intriguing. basically commenting on the catholic church’s exploitation of women and children in irelands history and it had me in shock. really liked the character of bill and his progression. very interesting short read that was not expecting to get that intense at all but still recommend.
