This one didn’t quite connect the same way as the first though it was still good. I pretty much stopped rooting for Conrad at all. Life is hard but you don’t get through it by pushing people away and literally all of the people in his life have told him that yet he still does it. I like the complex feelings being shown. I ask feel there is a maturity to come in the next book which I wanted more in this book. It felt very transitional to me. I hope the last in the series gives me the butterflies and deep feelings I had in the first that I lost in this one.
