“Wishes don’t come true if you’re standing still.”

Thank you to Hachette Book Group and Forever Publishing for an ARC of this book (even though this review is coming out after publication day)!

This was a super cute and fun read. It drew me in immediately from the very beginning. Lucy was a great main character who I could easily sympathize with and root for. The magic and small town vibes of the book were perfect for the beginning of Fall. I didn’t realize this book was dual POV until I started reading it, which is something I loved. I always love getting the main love interest’s POV.

Although the story was a little cheesy and cringey at times, that was kind of what I expected. This story knows what it is and what it’s trying to do. There were times I thought things weren’t making sense, such as character motivations or the way certain conversations were going, but it wasn’t enough to make me dislike reading this. I loved Lucy and Alex’s relationship. I’m a sucker for second chance romance these days. Overall, I loved the main message of going after the things you want in life and not holding yourself back, but also just embracing the ones you love.
