Not gonna lie, Charles never grew on me. The rage room scene of his was maybe the only one where I didn't distrust him. He's been so hot and cold with Kate throughout the entire book even right up to the end with the brooch that I couldn't get behind their relationship at all. Great that he pushed Kate to reconcile with her dad but like maybe try some therapy yourself king? It got too timeskip-y after that that I couldn't trust that he ever really got better.

A fine book but not for me I guess. I like my love interests a little more reliable.
