Crier's Knife by Neal Litherland

4.0

There's a country feel to this fantasy world, a powerful sense of place -- and that place is mountainous and rough, but also full of beauty. The characters & and plot move at a steady pace, one that feels unhurried but rolls inexorably forward with deceptive speed. From the very first page there's a delicious sense of deep, dark evil lurking in green hollows & behind gnarled trees--and the resolution of the quest lives up to that promise.
Excellent storytelling, start to finish.
