⚠️TW abuse, attempted raped, and manipulation⚠️

Okay first the things I didn't like about the book. First off I didn't like the sex scenes or the birth scene. Thats mainly because im asexual but still wanted it to be known because it also affected my rating. Secondly I didn't like Lily and Atlas being together in the past. He was 18 and she was 15. Thats not okay. Normally I would have dnfed this book after that but I knew this book was an important read and it was. I used to be someone who would say things like "why didn't she leave him" or "why did they stay with him." This book really gave me an inside view of what goes on not only on the inside of the relationship but also inside the head of the victim. This book really hit hard for me. I grew up around abuse and I would never understand why people would stay in these relationships. After reading this I get it as much as I can as someone who has never been in an abusive relationship. This book really changed my view on situations like these and while there was some parts I didn't like this book changed my view. It taught me so much that will stick with me forever that there was no possible way I could have rated this book under 3 stars.
