If you're about to start a new job, in a new company, in a new industry, in a newly created team (all things I've done in the last three weeks), I highly recommend this book! It's written mainly for managers and new hires expected to tackle large projects and department/company wide change, so not every chapter may apply for each job transition, but for me it was about 80% what I needed to read and think about.
Some of the best advice - stop, listen, learn - has helped me manage my new career change and has reaffirmed some of my initial impulses and assuaged some frustrations. I now have a better idea on how I can take control of my success and guide my first few months.
Word of advice: for the best outcome, read this book before starting a new job.
