I feel this book gave a fall vibe because of the small town and it's festivities but everything was not in depth enough. Like I liked Rhys and the Wales background and I would have liked to hear more about that and have more insight into his life and past there.
For me the whole reason for the breakup was not well explained and they basically never talked about the real reason afterwards or hashed it out (the whole betrothed thing).
The magical things they had to solve were more of a backdrop.
There was a little of steam but I would have liked to see more slow burn and more restraint which would have made the make out sessions better.
Also it was more fluff than spice because it never went into the scenes while it wasn't entirly closed door as well.

There definatly were some interesting ideas like the university itself with magic and no magic together
And I enjoyed the little history lesson about the town and the cost of founding it.
