My rating on this reading may be overly harsh, I was just very irritated by the version of feminism presented in this book. It's more annoying for being so *close* to right in some places--it shows the value of women being intelligent and working for good in the world, it just also talks about 'raising babies' and 'keeping house' as not valuable, and other such side digs.
I still love Pheobe and Archie and like many of the other characters at many moments in the story, and it is a sweet story overall.
