Don't think I can get through this and not come out tasting bitterness.
I appreciate any non-eurocentric representation in books that are not just depressing adult novels about the Asian condition, but I'm not sure a neo-dystopian scifi flick is going to scratch my itch any better than that, especially when the writing is still a little amateurish. I'm not sure the author's totally hit her stride yet--the characters are alternating depressing and angsty and annoying. Drama queens all.
