I don't often read short stories, and reading Geektastic reminded me why - I'm a greedy reader. Too often, as I reached the end of the story, I wanted to find out what happened next and could have quite happily continued reading about these delightful characters.
My favourites from the volume were written by Cassandra Clare, Garth Nix, Kelly Link, Wendy Mass and the opening story from Holly Black and Cecil Castellucci, the editors of the book. It was a wonderful showcase of writers, some of whom I knew already and some of whom I will be reading more from in the future.
The book was bursting with passion and enthusiasm, and I adored the comics littered throughout, beautifully illustrating what is required of those seeking to embrace geekdom.
