To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf

3.0

A somewhat hazy and dense read, in no small part due to the many perspectives it takes, To the Lighthouse is an introspective novel that constantly hangs with a sense of lost time and melancholy. The plot, much like the house the characters spend much time in and around, feels as though it stands still, frozen in time. Woolf's writing is creatively subtle and merits analysis, but it is sometimes hard to follow who is speaking or what is going on.

The first part is much hazier than the second and third, but the third part certainly ties the book together nicely.

Surely I must return to this in the future.
