Foes & Cons by Carrie Aarons

4.0

Not really a fan of bully romance but I was surprised how this was very light on ”bully”.

Yes, there was a typical high school drama where two people prank each other all year long. Or months, I don’t know, I forgot.

I liked the heroine and how she knew she is different than other girls her age. She was very mature as she wanted to spent her summer holidays in Haiti helping others. I did find her naive at times.

Sawyer… well, I wish he would talk to her first so this whole drama wouldn’t be necessary. But after she humiliated him two years ago he swore revenge. Actually, this conflict was on both because Blaire could have talked to him after that pros and cons list which was btw, really hurtful for a sixteen year old girl who is self conscious anyway.

Now that I think about it, I’m changing my 4.5 stars to 3.5-4 stars. I read the book pretty fast but I wish I liked both characters a little more. Let’s just say that you can see by how they behaved it’s a YA novel (I also don’t read YA romance novels anymore but I like Carrie’s writing style so I gave it a shot).
