The Tattoo Thief by Alison Belsham

4.5

A policeman on his first murder case. A tattoo artist with a deadly secret. And a twisted serial killer sharpening his blades to kill again...

I really loved and enjoyed this first instalment to The Tattoo Thief trilogy! It was so fast paced, with a fantastic set of characters especially Marni and Francis both separately and together. I cannot wait to see how the characters develop within the next two instalments and learn more about their backstories. It had such an interesting concept which is like no other thriller I’ve read before! I love that diabetes and MS representation feature within this book. Also loved the POVs especially hearing from the killer as it was so interesting to learn about them and their motivation for their crimes.

I was screaming and laughing at my kindle. I couldn’t put this book down until I knew how it all ended and whilst I didn’t guess who the killer was, once I knew who it was, it made so much sense.

One thing to note is that a derogatory slur against the disabled community is used within this book.

⚠️ CWs: cursing, blood, gore, vomiting, derogatory language and slur, animal cruelty, alcohol use, physical assault, needles; mentions relapse, miscarriage and rape ⚠️
