This is one of those times when I really want to give a book 10 stars out of five. Like, all those other times I've said that, I was joking--I lost no sleep over giving 5 stars. In this case, I will stay up all night, concocting bribes I can offer Story Graph to let me give this particular book, just this once, 10 stars.
Pulley's writing is so stupid beautiful, I would recommend literally anything by her. Would recommend this book even if I hadn't enjoyed the story itself. So many lines struck me as perfectly right and lovely that I had to stop and read them to myself over and over.
But also, I did enjoy the story--it's so whip-quick and full of gut-punches and adventure, and I just want to hug Kite and I'm so very glad Joe is there to hug him for me.
