Tidewater Inn by Colleen Coble

5.0

An exciting start to a new series, this book had me up past midnight!

This book has some of my new favorite characters of Colleen Coble. I enjoyed meeting Libby and Alec. Libby's backstory and current story was especially interesting to me.

I found every subplot in this book interesting, which is not always the case for me. Sometimes there's subplots where I just don't care as much. This book included some romance, some different sorts of crimes, some family drama, and more.

Normally Coble's books are 50/50 for romance and suspense, but I felt this one was a bit more suspense and a little less romance than her usual.

The setting was done really well, and it introduced me to hurricanes and storms. I love how the characters talked about natural storms as seeing God's power.

There was a great biblical message woven into this plot as the characters struggled with some things all Christians come in contact with. It tackled some tougher biblical topics well.

When I was about 3/4 through the book I ordered the next in the series, because I knew I would need to read it!

This is one of my favorite Colleen Coble books, and has definitely earned 5 stars. This is a book I'll be recommending to several people I know.
