The Italian Job (The Kathryn Freeman Romcom Collection, Book 6) by Kathryn Freeman

4.0

I received this as an Ebook ARC in exchange for a review through NetGalley. The Italian Job publishes on May 6, 2022!

This book has so many romance tropes it was almost hard to keep track of them all: Fake dating, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, workplace romance and probably many more that I missed or am forgetting! But even with all of these tropes the story was so fun and intriguing I was practically glued to the page!

Anna and Jake are such unique characters that I felt myself falling in love with both of them as their story went on. Anna with her strict scheduling and to do list making, compared to Jake's unruliness and go with the flow attitude. Overall their conflicting personalties is what ultimately made them connect in the first place!

I also loved that throughout their story we saw not only their romance blossom, but also the relationships of their families grow. As a reader we saw Anna and her mother meet again after almost 20 years of not speaking to one another. And Jake's relationship with his sisters and how much they mean to him overall.

Ultimately, a great romance with something for everyone!

PS did I mention this all occurs in an Italian Castle!
