Heart of The Sun Warrior is the sequel to Daughter of The Moon Goddess. Once again, Xingyin finds herself compelled to leave her home due to an unfortunate event that puts her home in danger.

Having read the first book earlier this year, I must say I have no regrets reading the sequel. Just like the first one, I couldn't stop reading this book once I started it. The book intrigued my curiosity, leaving me unable to put it down, so I finished it in two sittings. I promise you won't feel bored at all. From the very beginning of the book, a sense of tension fills the air.

As expected from Sue Lynn Tan's work, the words are beautifully crafted, the type of fantasy that resonates with my personal preferences. Notably, it stands out for its skill in delivering detailed descriptions. The scenes were so beautiful that I could imagine and visualize every scene in my head. Although romance is not usually a genre, I appreciate this book had a remarkable impact on me, made me feel flustered, and I didn't find it discomfort at all.

Xingyin's characteristics in this book are quite different from the first one. She's reckless here, not being careful and cautious enough. But it doesn't make the book any less enjoyable. After all, I still found her character lovable.

Moreover, I was specifically captivated by both the writing style and the narrative of the story. I really love this book. It evoked my emotions as well; I even cried while reading some chapters. I would give this book a straight five stars, as it instantly became my favorite!!!
