Once again R.S. Grey brings a story of two people who can’t stand one another, but will bring out the best in one another. Matt and Bailey challenge one another each meeting and I love how Bailey does not back down. She fights for what she thinks is right and even though Matt is demanding she also sees how he helps people. They force one another to be better and when they finally stop ignoring the sparks between them, they might find the one thing they have been looking for, love.

Bailey has worked hard to provide for her and her sister since her parents died, and when the doctor that she is a surgical assistant to decides to retire she is left looking for a job. Unfortunately the only one that is open in the department is with Dr. Richards who is known for being tough and making people cry. She doesn’t think she can work with him, but after observing a surgery of his she decides to give it a chance, what could it hurt to try?

Matt can’t keep a surgical assistant longer that a couple of days. They all think he is demanding and mean, but when you have someone’s life and spine in your hands, especially a child’s, you need to be on your A game. And when a colleague suggests Bailey, he isn’t sure she can stand up to the challenge but gives her a chance anyways.

As they work together, Matt challenges Bailey every step of the way and each time something goes wrong she assumes it will be her last time. But Matt surprises her by continuing to keep her on. And soon they have to confront the sexual tension between them. Will they be able to work together and have a relationship? Or will insecurities and their jobs become too much?
