Yikes that was one hell of an ending šŸ˜¬

I went straight into The Shadow Cabinet after finishing HMRC because the ending on that one was šŸ˜±

It took me a while to get into TSC. It wasnā€™t as gripping and action packed as HMRC. More of a slow burn with pasts revealed.

It was hard to read about Ciara after what happened. I get what Juno was trying to do though, making us sympathise after what she did/had done and why. She definitely is a morally grey character and I did find myself liking her at times.

Poor Theo, she felt like a side character after being the ā€œmain plotā€ in HMRC. But it was interesting to read about how she was coping after her transformation.

I will say there were some parts of the book that were hard to read. All I will say is Sheila.

This definitely felt more political than action packed, as we are introduced to the Prime Minister in this one and other mundane elements.

Overall it was a good read but not quite the five star HMRC was. The last few chapters were really good and the endingā€¦all I can say is oh dear šŸ«£
