This book took me over a year to read. I just didn't connect with Tatiana and Eugene's story. I did like the prose and found the English translation format to be really interesting. I also thought the narrator's input to the novel was foreign to me and personally as the reader I didn't like those aspects of the novel. As with any piece of work which is poetic in nature, there are some yummy lines in this book. I am just overwhelmingly glad I finally finished the book as I hate DNF-ing. I did find the plot of what happened to Lensky hard to overlook and did not think enough time was spent processing that. I also didn't love the ending it felt a bit like a cop out to me.
