This is the second book in the Twisted Series. This book cannot be read alone and you must read Twisted Love first.
I am a sucker for the bodyguard x princess trope, something about that forbidden love that I just cling onto. This book gave everything I needed the forbidden love to give.
Rhys MF Larsen.  Rhys hates everyone but her (sometimes her too). He is brooding, grumpy and over-protective. With rugged good looks, and muscles for days. In all honesty though my favorite Rhys moments where when he was vulnerable. I love watching the big bad wolf go soft for the girl they love and we got PLENTY of cute Rhys moments.

“She was too beautiful to be touched by any of my ugly past.”

Bridget Von Ascheberg. Bridget exudes power, grace, and kindness. The fact that she works at an animal shelter? Stole my heart from the get go. I love Bridget and her fiery personality. She may be graceful but she does not let anyone tell her what to do, especially a grumpy bodyguard. I strive to be like Bridget. I loved watching Bridget grow into her mature role as she did exactly what she needed to do to get what she wanted from life. She is a queen in every meaning of the word.
Part 1: I loved watching their relationship develop in part 1, I hate slow burns and part 1 gives off “slow-burn” vibes because of the time-frame. However, not once does it actually feel like a slow burn because of how detailed Anna gets with their moments together.  Chapter 12 owns me, and I re-read it constantly because for me that was a real turning point. Also I love the guy saving the girl trope, even if he is her bodyguard.
Part 2: Honestly Part 2 kind of breaks you and then puts you back together again. Part 2 was an emotional ROLLERCOASTER for me, I felt everything and anything all at once. But… this is where we get to see Bridget really grow and become strong, so I love it even more than part 1.
Overall, this book is worth all of the hype that I have seen it given. I am HOOKED. I cannot wait for more twisted content this June, and even more Ana content.
