Good points: The plot and romance were good. I like the way the psychic abilities were used and their consistency and relevance to the story. The tone was fun and exciting.
Bad points: The naming conventions ("coff-tea", "jelly-ice", "cherry-berry", "pear-berry", "shark-cuda") were incredibly annoying. This is a common problem of inexperienced scifi writers, who want everything to seem extra space-y. Likewise, there was a lot of naming of different historical periods for furniture design that had nothing to do with the story and was unnatural (it is unlikely that anyone would name the historical period of a piece of furniture every time it appears: "she walked to the Early Exploration Period desk", when there is only one desk in the room). The author also explained several times concepts that were previously introduced.
Take-away: The book was worth reading, but only if you are willing to overlook some things.
