I absolutely loved everything about this beautifully written book. The writing is so descriptive that you find yourself immersed but never overwhelmed. You can imagine exactly what the scenery looks like, characters, etc. All of the characters are so well written, each with deep, traumatic pasts and their journey with healing (check the trigger warnings). The relationships built felt authentic. The witty banter and slow burn steam (no spice) between Garrick and Alora, is so good, but what I loved even more was how they grow to support each other. I laughed, cried, held my breath and cheered them on. This is now my favorite book, and I can't wait for the series to continue!
