The Blood of Olympus, by Rick Riordan

5.0

I am so sad that I will not be getting any more of Leo. I didn't realize how much I loved his character until this book. He is so full of heart and just an awesome person. He is the odd man out, and I love what Riordan does with this character giving him, in the end, the most important task. Leo, to me, is the heart and soul of this series. Not Percy and Annabeth.

I get so annoyed that people demand more Percy and Annabeth, but this series is not just about them y'all. Percy and Annabeth had a five book series before this in which Percy is the main character. So please stop hating on this book because of that. I loved those characters, but I think Leo just knocked them down a peg.

This book focuses heavily on Reyna, Nico, Jason, Piper, and Leo. I thought that was such a great decision. Most of these characters minus Leo were kind of glanced over throughout the series. I am just so happy that these characters finally got their chance to truly shine. Man, these characters are so good.

Yes, there were some super convenient things that happened plot wise, but overall this was such a great conclusion. Everything to me felt tied up, while still leaving room for more story down the line. The writing was so funny. There were parts that I chuckled so hard.

I will dearly miss this series, but man it was such a fun ride.
