Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman
2.0
Just like [b:Evermore|3975774|Evermore (The Immortals, #1)|Alyson Noel|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1362336360s/3975774.jpg|4021549] Legacy of Kings buys into popular trends in the young adult market and falls flat on its face. This book was messy. The characters were awful, nothing made sense. The author calls herself a historian but I highly doubt that any of the historical characters acted like this.
In these reviews that are more well-thought-out than mine, they explain exactly what my problems are with this book. I highly recommend checking them out.
This book tries to be what [b:The Hunger Games|2767052|The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)|Suzanne Collins|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1447303603s/2767052.jpg|2792775] was, but the thing about that is that The Hunger Games is an original story. It wasn't trying to be like the next big trend.
Legacy of Kings was a big disappointment.
