The intergalactic, computer, and nerdy humor. The loveable, adorable nature of Groot - his love of everyone and his willingess to help anyone out. Rocket's trigger happy tendencies. It all works really well. Plus the art is phenomenal! Groot's expressions convey a lot of emotion. And there are times when there are images inside block letters of "I AM GROOT" to illustrate his thoughts and emotions.
It's a wonderful story, with lots of little hiccups in the intergalactic travels. In the end, it's a story about giving of yourself, being grateful, and be there for others.
