A horrible story about horrible people. Jenn and her husband Greg are joined by his daughter (her step-daughter) Emma and Emma's 17 year old boyfriend Nathan. Jenn is immediately sexually drawn to the boyfriend and embarks on charged relationship with him. The reader is given no real reason that would indicate why Jenn would suddenly throw caution to the wind and endanger her marriage and family with this sudden obsession, or why Nathan, a 17 year old boy, would be interested in her. I think it might appeal to fans of Girl on a Train/The Widow/Gone Girl, and it is a fast read. Extra star for a rather clever ending that somewhat redeemed it for me.
